Ms. Lisa Li, a Partner of East & Concord Partners Shanghai Office, was invited to attend an event jointly organized by Benelux Chamber of Commerce in China and Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China on the evening of 5 November 2019, during which she gave a presentation Data and Personal Information Protection Compliance in China. Guests including General Managers etc from foreign invested companies participated in the event.

Lisa shared her knowledge about the Chinese legislative status on personal information protection and elaborated on the basic legal framework on data and personal information protection from perspective of Cybersecurity Law of PRC. From her best practices experience and based on recent legislative trends, Lisa also discussed with guests on how to mitigate compliance risks during daily operations of enterprises, including preparing and improving properly worded privacy policy and its implementation, ensuring compliance with personal information protection compliance requirements during daily employment/HR management, compliance requirements on cross-border transfer of personal information, risks for using services provided by “big data” companies and key points to ensure compliance for using web crawler technology to collect “big data”.
講演結束後，與會嘉賓就其業務運營中所涉個人信息合規問題與李律師進行了較為深入的溝通討論，意猶未盡。
The presentation was well received by guests and after the presentation was delivered, Lisa and guests conducted communications and discussions on compliance issues which guests may have to deal with during their daily operations.
